Greenbushes Acoustic holds free acoustic music and bush poetry events with open mic opportunities and a focus on sharing, learning and community building in support of good mental health.

Regular events are scheduled on a third Sunday of the month at various times and locations in Greenbushes.

Greenbushes Acoustic is reaching out  to other acoustic musicians and singers  in the South West of Western Australia.

We  have created a facebook page South West Acoustic Jam and a Facebook Community Group that is connected to it. Check both sites for updates and feel free to post your events and jams on these sites. The Community Group has 23 members as of 1 October 2024.

Green Herring Oz

Green Herring are singer-song-writers  from Greenbushes. They write songs for the earth, and take people on a journey to inform and inspire around environmental themes. Their music aims to give hope in a time of climate emergency. Green Herring Oz is made up of Irma Lachmund and Lee Goodall, here with Andrew Hardy on the bass.

John Matthews

John Matthews has been a long-term supporter of community music. He is a passionate singer-song writer, multi-instrumentalist and story teller, with experience of over 40 years, in Australia, Canada, and around the world.

White Jones Trio

Robert White and Phil Jones have  bluegrass music at their heart. Fast-paced banjo and flatpicking guitar style is accompanied by tight harmonies and fun stories. 

Greenbushes Acoustic acknowledges the cultural custodians of the land on which we gather, the Pibulmen-Wadandi people.

We acknowledge and support their continuing  connections to land, waterways and community.

We pay our respect to members of the Aboriginal Communities and their culture; and to their Elders past and present, their descendants still with us today, and those who will follow in their footsteps.
